Banyani is powered by a small but mighty group of youth-led changemakers — strategists, educators, communicators, and advocates — all united by one goal: a sustainable Africa.
Our leadership team brings together expertise in environment, finance, communications, and community development.
01
Monica is the driving force behind Banyani's vision and strategy. As Executive Director, she oversees all operations, partnerships, and program delivery — translating a bold climate mission into tangible community impact across Ghana and the wider African continent.
"We started this because we believed that young Africans don't just need to talk about climate change — we need to lead the response to it."
02
Foster leads Banyani's six flagship programs — from tree planting to the Africa Resilience Academy. He designs program frameworks, coordinates field teams, and ensures every initiative creates measurable, lasting impact in the communities we serve.
"Real environmental change happens when communities own the solution. My job is to make sure Banyani always puts them first."
03
Haruna ensures Banyani's financial health and long-term sustainability. He manages budgets, oversees donor reporting, and builds the financial systems that allow us to scale our programs responsibly — making sure every cedi of support goes where it matters most.
"Financial transparency isn't just good governance — it's how we build the trust that sustains a movement for the long haul."
04
Faith is the heartbeat of Banyani's team culture. She manages recruitment, onboarding, volunteer coordination, and internal wellbeing — ensuring that the people who power this mission feel supported, valued, and inspired to give their best.
"The most powerful climate tool we have isn't a policy or a technology — it's a committed, energised, cared-for team."
Our extended team brings expertise across communications, education, research, and community outreach.
